Dr Jai offers individual therapy for a range of specific issues including (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, stress and managing the impact of traumatic experiences. Dr Jai works with children aged 8 years and older. Using evidenced based approaches to creatively engage younger children Dr Jai complements therapy sessions with age appropriate practice tasks to help children and young people generalise their skills between sessions.
When children don't want to engage in therapy, it can be tough for parents to know what to do. Dr Jai works with parents to help them support their children and reflect on how they too may be impacted by their child's mental health struggles.
Dr Jai works with parents (either together, or separately) when unexpected things happen in life. This can include periods of loss, trauma, illness, separation, divorce and other adverse life events that can impact parenting capacity.
Adults seek therapy for a variety of reasons. Sometimes people have a specific goal in mind; at other times they may experience a sense of things just not going well. Even when it's not clear at the outset, Dr Jai can offer a consultation to help you figure out what support best fits your current needs. Dr Jai offers individual therapy (as well as couple therapy) to people struggling with life events as well as for people with specific mental health conditions. Dr Jai specialises in the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression and a range of stress-related conditions that can impact home and career life.
