Dr Jai Shree Adhyaru is a Consultant Psychologist with over 20 years of experience in working with adults, children and families.
As an expert in mental health and wellbeing, Dr Jai delivers psychological solutions for a range of difficulties that can occur throughout life.
Dr Jai works with her clients to deliver a bespoke private service that offers the highest level of confidentiality.
Dr Jai offers individual therapy for a range of specific issues including (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, stress and managing the impact of traumatic experiences. Dr Jai works with children aged 8 years and older, using evidenced based approaches delivered creatively to engage younger children and with practice tasks to help children and young people generalise skills they learn in therapy between sessions.
When children don't want to engage in therapy, it can be tough for parents to know what to do. Dr Jai works with parents to help them support their children and reflect on how they too may be impacted by their child's mental health struggles.
Dr Jai works with parents (either together, or separately) when unexpected things happen in life. This can include periods of loss, trauma, illness, separation, divorce and other adverse life events that can impact parenting capacity.
Adults seek therapy for a variety of reasons. Sometimes it isn't really clear at the outset and that's quite normal. Dr Jai offers individual therapy (as well as couple therapy) to people struggling with life events as well as for those with specific mental health conditions. Dr Jai specialises in the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression and a range of stress-related conditions that can impact home and career life.
